How to best use Pinterest for website traffic?

Currently I repin 20 pins every day, upload 20 pins with links to the associated blogs on the website every day, and follow 100-200 ppl every day. We are seeing a slow increase in Pinterest followers and website traffic but it is very slow and time consuming? Any advice on how to improve our strategy and gain more website traffic?

I've also noticed a lot of people will follow me on pinterest and then unfollow. It's the only social media site where I see a lot of that. It's like people will follow you just to get a follow back then they unfollow.

I do the same thing as you. That's one social media platform that is kinda tricky. I'm interested to see some good advice on this thread.

Pinterest can be a bit tricky but like any other social media platform you need to post engaging content.

Find other successful/popular boards in your niche and see what kinds of images (or even videos) they are posting; this pretty much tells you what works for them, so it's likely to work for you as well.

Also, make sure you follow people who are active as they're the ones who will give you the most engagement (and thus exposure).

    Hi Nila!

Pinterest has something called Smart Feed and a very good system in place against spamming. What this means is that things are a bit slower than other social media networks, but are more consistent on the long run, so people who are willing to be patient will get great results!

Some tips I can give you:

    - Make sure you only repin HIGH QUALITY pins! Pins with great quality and lots of repins and likes. This will make you go higher on Pinterest's Smart Feed and if you're lucky, get Pinterest recommending your boards and pins to others.

    - Make sure you add links to all your original pins in the image itself and also on the pin's description, with a call-to-action like "Click here", "Visit", etc.

    - Also, pin images that people want to click on. For example, if you're pinning a blog post, make sure you add the title of the blog post on the image itself, images with blog titles have a mugh higher % of clicks because they instantly grab the user's attention and act like a teaser making people want to know more.

    - Write great descriptions on your pins! Make people excited wanting to click and know more! Ask questions, or write something that strikes an emotion!

    - And then, pin into several of your boards (related to the topic of course), and also to group boards (always choose the top ones).

Some people on social media follow you just to gain a follow back.

And once you follow them back they'll soon unfollow you.

On Pinterest, just post the most creative content that you can. Pinterest is designed mainly for DIY's and some life hacks.
