Why cant i search groups, add myself to them and comment away as my page?

If I am doing it wrong (which I think I am) then how would I go about producing a niche profile and 'getting involved' in similar interested groups so I can attempt to gain trust and authority within a given niche?

Any help appreciated,

    That's simply something you can't do.

    You have to join groups as yourself, and not using any fan pages.

      Thanks for the reply, seems so yes. So if i werent trying to build myself as an authority but rather a brand...how might I go about that on facebook specifically?
