What's the BEST site for Press Releases today?

Hi all,

After a year of prep-work I'm launching a 6-book 'Choose Your Own Adventure' type book series this week: www.ultimateendingbooks.com

I'd like to do a very sweet press release that I'm hoping gets picked up in some high places. So what's the best platform these days? Which website gets the best distribution for the buck?

Thanks in advance! I'm excited to hear what everyone thinks.

I think you should launch a Kickstarter campaign and you should pick a good Kickstarter website to start your campaign.

You could use different social media. It is one of the best platforms to reach people.

Facebook and twitter would be of great help.

Just make sure to follow their terms of services and avoid spamming.

I would join Facebook groups and goodreads.com and participate in conversations there. It is time consuming but the only way to grow your reputation is slow and steady.

Instead of paying for a press release I would contact influencers(people that manage pages/account with many followers) on Facebook and Twitter and ask for a payed shoutout. You could give away say 20% of your best book and encourage them to buy it if they want to read the rest.

I just don't see what you can say in a 500 word press release to convince people to buy your book. Unless you are a famous writer.

Great advice, especially about the Facebook groups. Thank you.

So I guess PR sites are out now, eh? Been a while since I worked on some SEO.
