Amazon Affiliates on Instagram

Hi there!

I'm a new to this forum, so forgive me if this has been asked before. Has anyone ever seen a successful Amazon Affiliate marketer on Instagram? Amazon Affiliates requires placing of a link, but Instagram only allows you to place links in the allotted space for your profile.

I'm looking at starting an affiliate marketing business on Instagram, and I hope to get ideas on how from the community!

Regards,
SimonSebastian

Instagram is a good affiliate. It reaches people easily just by putting the correct hashtag.

But as you have said there's a limit about putting links.

Facebook or twitter will be a good idea for that kind of matter. It's easier to share links there.

    Why Instagram specifically.

There are other sites like Facebook, Twitter and so on.

I found that Instagram is not very good with sharing links, but maybe you can put the the links on a visually appealing picture, this might not work because not everybody will copy the link. After all most users use Instagram from smart phones.

Your best shot is to put the link in the bio and make an "interesting" profile for others to be convinced to visit your link.

    This just my opinion.

Facebook or twitter is better avenue for sharing your products instead of instagram.

With facebook you could post anything including links.

With twitter you only have limited characters per post.

  • I agree with the rest, Facebook and Twitter are better options since most people have accounts on these social media platforms. Instragram is good though if you know how to promote your product. I have observed that most IG accounts promoting products mask their content with comedy and banter posts, as these tend to gather the most audiences.

The only issue I see with Facebook is the fact that some products from Amazon are not allowed for promotion. There was one weight loss product we tried promoting on FB but unfortunately, the link is not allowed for posting, so it was in vain. Do your quick research first before you decide for a certain affiliate product as well as if it's possible to post the product link on FB.

    Goodluck!
