Facebook Fan Page Ad ~ Advice errors!

HI guys,

I've wanted to promote my fan page using facebook ads,
but I'm not sure the right way to do it.
What will you advice me to do?
Like beween CPC and CPM? Which is better,
and is CPM really that cheap?

So, I honestly will prefer to use CPM and target mostly european countries,
will it still be relatively cheap?
For example if I run ads for $10 a day, will I have relative success with CPM?
The pictures I use for my ads and my fan page is really captivating, and I'm almost sure,
most who see it, will want to click on it.
I honestly don't care if they actually hit the Like button for my page, I just want my page
to be viewed by many people, ( I already have about 5 thousand likes i bought from Freelancer.com). So I don't really need the fan page likes, I know it might sound strange but all I need is that my fan page ad to be viewed by many.

Please help me advice.

Thanks

    Hello,

If i were you i would use cpc. the good thing about cpc is that you only pay when someone does an action on your ad. if they like or visit it then you pay. With this, the ad will be seen by many people and you will spend less.

Like you said above that you only want people to see your page and not like it.. Then cpc is the cheapest way for you. If you need help you can PM me too. for $10 a day you will have more success with cpc than cpm.

Will it be cheap to do cpc to european countries? Because I think CPM is more cheap.

European countries have high cpc and cpm depending on your niche. if your niche is on the following expect high cpc and cpm

        loans
        insurance
        education

DO NOT use CPC for Facebook "Like" campaigns. ALWAYS start out by optimizing for "Likes" and going with CPM.

Jon Loomer published a great experiment a few years ago to illustrate:

When building a Facebook ad campaign you can set Facebook to optimise for different "bid types". But by default ad campaigns on Facebook run using oCPM.

    Bid types:CPC, CPM or oCPM

The safe way is to start off with oCPM. Whatever your results are you can try to switch the exact same campaign to for example CPC later to see if you get better results. Remember to give each change some time to settle down to get a representative analysis.

See this article for more info

Optimized CPM is a bid type that shows your ad to people who are more likely take the action you want. With this bid type, you pay for impressions (CPM). For example, if your advertising objective is get more Page likes, an optimized CPM bid will be shown to people who are more likely to like your Page.

Your bid will automatically adjust to help your ads reach the people you care about, but you won't spend more than your budget. You can also manually set your own bid for optimized CPM but keep in mind this will be a target bid and not a maximum one.
