Twitter: How Sam Skyrockets His Website Traffic by Sharing My Content (Doesn't make sense, huhn?)

Sam Hurley is the 2016 #2 digital influencer with 116,000 strong Twitter followers.

Today, I saw Sam shared my blog post on Twitter.

I clicked on the buff.ly link

Obviously I got redirected to my blog post.

But I notice something that’s unusual…

There is one little pop up on my screen:

I don’t remember set up anything like that on my blog.

I was curious…

I click on the link and was sent to an external website.

Very smart!

Sam shared my content on Twitter and then drives traffic back to any where he wants by inserting a little pop up on my blog.

It’s not just me, everyone follow his link on Twitter sees the pop up too.

How is this possible?

I went back to my post and study this little blue pop up:

By clicking on the little icon, I was redirected to Start-A-Fire.

Hooray…

I just discovered a smart tool you can use to drive a lot of traffic to your website!

First, curate viral content people love to share.

Next, follow these 3 steps:

#1 Sign up for a free account with StartAFire

#2 Insert the viral content link and your website link into StartAFire. Hit “Create”

#3 Share your StartAFire link on Twitter and Facebook.

Once the viral content gets retweets (on Twitter) and shares on Facebook, watch your website traffic start to skyrocket.

Curate away and bring a ton of traffic to your own site!

Exactly. Adding an ad to your site without your permission. And you're so happy that you decided to promote the tool here. Congrats!

There are more junk tools that are used to add ads to other people's blogs without their permission: L...s, S...y, etc.

Yeah, I removed some letters from their names. I'm not gonna promote them. I'll tell the other readers about a tool that blocks these junk tools: Social Warfare plugin.

good post and congrats on getting him to notice. A lot of that guys post are direct action, not retweetable, shareable, etc. He follows 55,000 people, its hard enough to see what people are doing following 100 people. If he really knew what he was doing he wouldnt tweet 40 times a day (over saturating and lessens his links) and if he did tweet 40 times he would be more engaging. Maybe some business motivation people want to retweet, ask questions, etc.

    Just my 2 cents.
