What are the best way to build your Fanpage

Looking for some input from the community. What ways have you found to be successful in building your fan page and thus increasing website traffic?

    The first few hundred fans is what crucial is. After that you will get fans from facebook suggestions. What have worked for me before is, i place them on some of my high traffic websites for few days and then later remove it once i gain the required number of fans.
