Is Twitter the next Acquisition Target?

The most recent acquisition of LinkedIn was undoubtedly a ground shaking moment not only for the Microsoft, but for the whole business and cyber world. It goes without saying that Microsoft doesn't have any social media ambitions. Its primary concern is to get his hands on lucrative B2B market managed by LinkedIn with more than 430 million users, give it or take. Now, one serious rumor has it that Twitter is the next in the acquisition line. So, who's the lucky buyer?

When it comes to Twitter's future Google is the usual suspect. After an embarrassing failure to challenge Facebook with Google+, our good old Google doesn't have too many options left. On the other side, Twitter can go for much longer on its own. This way, this is supposed to be a win-win. Yet, we need to ask a simple and quite an unavoidable question. How powerful Google really is? Why?

Well, one more serious rumor has it that Yahoo is also in the acquisition zone. It's not a secret that Yahoo isn't doing particularly great these days. So, finding a new owner doesn't seem like a bad idea. Now, here's a question worth asking? Can Google afford itself a luxury of buying both Yahoo and Twitter? Is this too much to chew even for Google? Or, maybe Google will have to choose between Yahoo and Twitter acquisition. Well, the business zone of social media is going to be quite an exciting one, that's for sure.
