    Get in touch with them through their site's contact pages. Your message must be on the other messages folder.

    Bad idea.

    Every second of the day that you work in IM should be, in some way, for your own long-term advantage. Whether this is growing a social following, collecting opt-ins to newsletters, or, in a more general and intangible sense, growing the level of potential future opportunities. Ben, there are many ways to generate instant traffic: free or paid. If you absolutely have to throw money at someone's Facebook page, order a shoutout and promote either your own page or group.

      Great advice! I was going to suggest a shoutout as well. It's a quick way to get some impressions and page likes if you find the right person with the right page and audience.

    Am I missing something here? Why don't you just build your own page?

        Building your page will take about an hour and then just a few more hours to add the content. Then the money you would spend on renting the page could be spent on likes campaigns. And, in the end it is yours and not someone else's

          This is a really good point, but I guess it depends on how much your time is valued and worth?

          Also, you say the FB page would be his, but really at the end of the day it ultimately belongs to FB and they can take it back anytime.

          Otherwise just contact them directly and make them a decent offer.

          Make sure you explain the situation fully or you might just scare them into not responding.

        Collaborating with big fan pages is a great idea, but you're better off creating your own and then contacting the admins of the relevant fan pages and asking to share some of your content on their page that would engage their audience - with a link back to your fan page of course.

    Why rent other people's Facebook page if you can't create your own page?
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[10763674].message }}
  • I suggest you to create your own Facebook page and post unique content with hashtags and join groups/follow trends. Use relevant images in your post which describes your content to attract targeted audience because images are more eye catching as compare to the text.. You can spend your money to boost your post with high engagement rate except renting others FB page. Ultimately you will enjoy and love to have your own Facebook page. Thanks.

    I don't understand what the purpose of 'renting' a page would be - can you not get traffic from other sources or use Google Adwords or similar?
