Is it just me or the facebook ads have become insanely expensive in the last few months?

I have heard that in specific months and part of the year it can be more expensive. I optimized the ad and got a decent cost/like but In the last 2-3 months the cost is around 3 times with the same ads and targeting options.

Do you know any alternatives? Because this is a robbery.

Are you constantly testing and tweaking your ads?

You should be changing up your adverts and looking at your performance reports to see where your CPC is lowest and focus there.

Although I have to say CPC maybe irrelevant if you don't have a proper sales funnel to turn your advertising dollars into profit.

Where are you sending your traffic?

  • Fb ad costs when there's more competition, like during the holidays or shopping season. When putting out FB ads, you have to A/B test to see which ones are cost effective and regularly tweak your audience to improve your targeting, to cut costs.

You must optimize facebook ads well to get the maximum results from it. There has not been a rise this month or year ,their alorythm is the same you must simply learn how to use it to your benefit ,take a look at this screenshot of my stats .

I have a short straight forward guide on this.

      Thanks for the answers!

I use adverts only to get likes on my fb page since I need quite a big followerbase for my plans and that could help to accelerate the process. I did a lot of testing but it feels so absolutely random. Even though I strategically removed the things which caused extra $$$, when I started some new ads with for example solely for men audiance(was cheaper), it didn't really went as excepted. As if facebook goes crazy sometimes. In most cases I run ads solely on mobiles since after a lot of testing it was cheaper for me. So, mainly the ad costs on PC were quite a lot but on one occasion with the same ad configurations the reach skyrocketed for absolutely no reason and could get way better results without changing anything. The difference was way too big. Or sometimes I pay for 2-3 cents for likes and then like 10x for a few impressions and have to shut down the ad? Basically after following guides, making better thumbs, addig CTA, better ad texts + a new professional logo, costs are worse than when I randomly started an ad in the beginning. That's why I asked about alternatives, ideas and followerbase growing opportunities for money.

      Thanks in advance!

I figure it all need to be relative to what you are getting results-wise. It's expensive to advertise, yet I get better results on Facebook than any other platform, so it's an essential spend. I would also suggest tweaking your ads regularly and also ensuring you have a wide range of ads to suit your entire target market.
