Using Shoutouts on Instagram for Advertising

It sounds like useless work. In general to do something like that in inst you just have to get some number of followers. You have them - you have bucks. But followers must be real people that follow you. For it you can use some soft, e.g. you can look at zen-promo.com . It just does simple operations to lure real people. You can try it, trial time must be free.

Don't buy your followers. It's useless. You need to build your audience naturally. People who are interested in your product or services, they surely will follow you and eventually buy your products.

I suggest that you put in the time and build your audience organically and through some paid ads on Instagram. Buying shout outs isn't a bad thing it can help you increase followers as long as they are from pages that are in the same niche. It wouldn't hurt to buy a couple shout outs to see what the results are.

That can be a good idea but it can also be fatal idea because you might get some fake followers which bring no money,and it can turn out to be useless,I wouldn't recommend paying for shoutout.

It depends where you are getting your shoutouts from. Are you purchasing them from a website that CLAIMS to do shoutouts or are you actually connecting with people in your Niche with Top Accounts that have active, engaged, followers on their account? There are many people that are successfully getting subscribers and sales by connecting with REAL people on Instagram and asking them to do a shoutout for them. Depending on how many followers they have will depend on how much they charge and for how long. I recommend keeping your account public, because you want to show that you are open for business. It's best practice to always keep your account set to public. You can then ask the account owner to post your content for you with image and a link to either your bio or your lead capture page. Different owners will do different things, so best practice is to connect with them, and work out a deal with them. Some of the other websites that offer shoutouts, I can't vouch for whether or not they are legit or if you end up with fake followers. I just know from what I have seen with people connecting with the owners on Instagram. Hope this helps.

Yeah, I was talking about niche-related accounts, contacted through a shoutout marketplace, but still directly.
I agree with keeping the account public, setting it to private to get more followers seems kinda...wrong to me.

I never switched any of my profiles to private to gain followers but have seen lots of people doing it. Usually they do it so you can't resist with something a little controversial like nude celeb leaked photos or something catchy like a native advertising ads headline. SO unless I was doing something like that I myself wouldn't bother to set it to private as I would want people to see my content and like it and choose to follow me so I have a better chance of getting an active engaged real follower.

But I have built a bunch of email lists with Instagram with shoutouts and Instagress.com where I set up my accounts to automate the liking, commenting, following and then unfollowing. The simplest way is to put your squeeze page link in your Instagram accounts bio where the people Instagress engages with for you will draw people to your account where they can see your link and hopefully click and sign up to your list. So it's automated and with very cheap traffic as Instagress is just $9.99 per Instagram account you set up with them so I have a whole bunch of accounts driving traffic to my squeeze pages all day and night so that's great because of the automation of doing this with Instagress which requires very little work after setting it up.

You can basically do the same thing for free by doing shoutout for shoutout with other accounts around your size and drive traffic to your bio link using sites like shoutoutpost.com
