It is profitable to advertise on FB a cheap product?

I've heard that the conversion of ads is about %4. I'm worried that the product doesn't cost enough and I might not get enough visits to get enough sales.

Can a product with profit of about $25 earn from advertising on FB? Will I get enough visits?

    Hi, Scuderia

I would say that if you can get cold Facebook traffic to convert at 4% then that's really good.

So, to answer your question - if you're new to Facebook Ads and want to just straight up sell your product to audiences who don't know you, then there's a very small chance for you to make a profit. Probably only if you nail your ads, landing page and audiences perfectly.

Remember that people aren't usually in a buying mood when browsing Facebook. You can start with getting e-mail submits (collecting leads) with the help of Facebook Ads, build some trust and then sell the product to your list. That's probably your best bet.

Is it profitable selling .25 cents packs of chewing gum. Of course it can be. But does not mean you or me is going to be able do that.

If you can find a profit then why not. I like to call them little money machines. You know you put 5 or 10 bucks in and it spits out 20 or 50 back to you. How often would you stand there feeding your little money machine? haha and people buy lotto tickets all the time. Only if they knew...

You also have to understand your marketing or trying to make a sale on a social network. People are not on social media in a buyers mindset. Best way I have learned for this type of traffic is to get them onto a list where you can follow up with them and more of a chance of reaching them when they are in a proper mindset to purchase.

Facebook advertising could bring some very nice profits if you know how to target your audience. So, before jumping on it you need to do your homework very well, split test different methods and study what kind of audience your product needs.

    going in you know this

then why not try to sell a higher price point product as an affiliate first..

if that proves successful then create your own..

..at the end of the day, it all comes down to testing.

Facebook has a huge number of people using all over the world now, so advertising a chep product on FB will be a good and effective idea to promote your sale. Before doing that, you should perfect your product and researc ads policy of FB to understand more.

I used $5 a day to reach to about 500 customers which 70 people liked my fanpage and some of them buy it. I think facebook ads is useful for your product.
