Seeking recommendations for creating customer personas for social media strategy...
It's fair to say that these days social media is a huge part of marketing and more and I am starting to get more and more requests for customer personas to target customers more effectively to understand the audience I'm trying to target.
I'm interested in finding a way to create these with limited funds and limited time, particularly for start ups that have small budgets but need to really get into the headspace of their customers.
I've done a little research and I've found some key elements for building customer personas (this list is derived originally from a www.marketo.com presentation):
I have been given quite a few of these from client's who have had agencies start up their businesses however I haven't yet had to create these from scratch as yet and it's something i am increasingly interested in.
Some of the personas are incredibly details and others are really effective snapshots which are really helpful yet as we are a two person business, and we don't really have the support staff to create these I'm interested to find if there are any great websites or online tools which can help to create these. I've found the market.com sheet, are there any others out there anyone can suggest??

- Background - about the business/company, what the individuals likes and dislikes might beWho's using customer personas in their social media strategy? Are they working for you?
- Goals - what are the business goals for the customer and how the business may help the customer achieve these goals
- Sources of information - where do they source content and which social channels do they use
- Preferred content topics - what are they most interested in
- Marketing message / CTA - what messaging resonates
- Objections - what objections might the customer have in the sales process
- Specific product of interest - is there a specific product or solution that they specifically might want
- Role - what is the customer's influence in the decision-making process
- Quotes - from any interviews or discussion
