How to gain more retweets?

Retweets are extremely valuable for growing your accounts in Twitter, in fact, some people say that if every RT could be value in money, they would be a 100 USD each one.

But how can you get more RTs? Let me give you some useful tips for that.

Use good calls to action: This is something all the good marketers will tell you, making calls to actions are a great way for gaining more engagement in Twitter, its very important that you offer something in return to your audience in exchange for the RT,

Tweet when Twitter is quiet: Twitter can be a very noisy place at same moments of the day, and if you try to get engagement at those moments you will have some troubles getting the RTs you want, so what you need to do is to look for the engagement in moments in which Twitter is calm and you will have better chances for getting engagement. The key is that you need to be heard over the noise, keep that in mind.
Include links: Hubspot has conducted a study and found that people who includes links on their Tweets, have more chances of getting retweeted than people who doesnt, this is because links are attractive to the audience, especially if the website they lead to have valuable information or some other kind of content they will like.
Keep your tweets as good as you can: This is the most important tip of all, no one will give you RT if your content is not good, you need to get very creative and make sure your tweets have good quality, so your audience will be attracted to them, otherwise they will just ignore you.

  • That's a great insight. Also, try to keep your tweets short making it easier for others to re-tweet it maybe around 100-110 characters so they wont have to edit your tweets anymore. I think, aside from links, adding some images makes an impression and has a more chance of re-tweets.

Twitter can be considered as a wide world where you can get a lot of information. So for you to gain more retweets of course you have to be true to yourself first. Inspire retweets with mini infographics. You can also use your personal experiences like the lessons that you get in your life or the important message that you would like to say that will make them relate to it. If you capture the person's interest, make them relate to it, and appreciate the message; this will make them retweet your super useful content to their friends.

Great tips, I find that "Tweet when Twitter is quiet" is a good strategy it seems to help get more engagements. Tweets don't get lost so fast in all the noise of business hours.

Also I actually like to tweet with long links. It lets people see where they are clicking. It's just something I like to do, but not necessary. I know that I like to see where I am clicking to with all the computer viruses and malware out there.

Use # tag in your targeted keywords, if possible use excellent picture, video in your tweet, ask question in your tweet. Use feelings icon etc.

These are great insights. Thank you for sharing. I've always had problems tweeting when Twitter is noisy, but sometimes, it helps. Especially when you use the current trending hashtag.

I agree, these are good practices to increase Twitter engagement or retweets. Some other useful stuff that I can add is for you to add hashtags on your tweets and also don't be ashamed of asking a retweet. A simple RT request can take you a long way!

How to gain more retweets? Be the FIRST to report a news or tweet something new. Based on experience, I also noticed I get more retweets during the late afternoons and evenings.

For you to earn more retweets. You must have to assign more values to your message and to convince more users to retweet it. You must figure out what it is that your Twitter followers expected from you, they followed you for a reason so you must give them what they want. You can share original content (many people loves to be the first to retweet the new stuff) this will automatically increase your chance of being retweeted. Your tweet is available as long as you have points in your account. You can also earn free points by social content promotion. By this you would have a strong influence online and this will help you to get more tweets and retweets. You can also retweet other people regularly and they're far more likely to return the favor since it has worked both ways.

  • To get more retweets, tweet something of value more often! Also ask for RTs. RT & comment on posts of others for reciprocity. Join in conversations around trending hashtags from time to time.
