How to get build up reddit Karma and get traffic?

How to get reddit's special High quality traffic is one of the most difficult social media experience because
  • You get banned from posting your link
  • Building Karma seems linka a lot of effort
  • Reddit is unlinke other social networks and takes time to understand, but by this time you are already shadowbanned
So , the question is how to build up Karma
There are a few things that gets me Karma in all my new accounts
  • Post in smaller Subreddits until your karma is 200+
  • Post simpler things like pictures instead of stories or links
  • Once your karma is 200+, posting links and stories is fine, in smaller subreddits
  • Once your Karma is above 500, post in main subreddits, keep it 2 posts/day
This will not get you banned and build up your Karma
The second thing you will need is posting a link
There are some things to follow which I realized getting a few accounts as high as 10,000 Karma getting banned
  • Do not post a website link, even to another article in the same subreddit more than once in a day
  • Do not post something even slightly off topic
  • do not make it seem like its your website
  • Do not reply to too many comments in the post
  • Do not post your website link more than 3-4 times in reddit in a week
This helps initial blog traffic, but since the traffic is for 10-20 hrs, its not worth a lot, I don't do it more than 1 link per week, the traffic is not remotely as good as orgnic traffic, but I did it initially to promote my blog, and it helped me a lot. For any new websites that requires traffic, its really worth the effort.

      Reposting might get you karma, but too much reposting in a subreddit gets you banned

    To gain karma best is to join some upvote exchange groups and follow the process. And make sure dont post your links always as that will get you shadow banned.

    Get To Know Your Audience. Reddit is made out of different category-pages called “subreddits. subreddits about technology and online marketing, like /r/technology, /r/webmarketing or /r/ppc.find your real audience.
    Get The Audience To Know You. talk to them. Be active. Comment on submissions and give helpful advice to people.
    Timing Is Key. You definitely don’t want your link to get lost in the /new section of the subreddit. So choose your timing right.

      I agree but one thing I disagree about is GET TO KNOW PEOPLE, reddit does not work similar to FB twitter and the attempt to know people in my opinion is not efficient

    Timing is one of the main keys with Reddit. If you want max engagement post early in the morning or in the top of the afternoon say 2PM EST.

    Also if you are posting a blog or something make sure they can upvote you without going back to reddit. You can include a reddit button (the code is at the bottom of the main reddit page) and include that code on your post whenever possible. Try and get people you know to upvote you so you remain relevant longer...
