Cool Ways to Stay Relevant

Did I say cool? I should have said simple. Hey guys its Buzz again with some easy ways to stay relevant on social media. Its kind of funny when you think about it because I think most people kind of know what to do but don't really properly execute it. I'm going to outline a few things you can do to steadily grow your viewership below.

Post on Social Media Frequently

I don't mean spam frequently but at least a few times a day. Especially if you have a brand. If you can maintain all of your social media profiles hire someone who can. Oh, and also please note that simply posting doesn't quite do it. You have to post things that are tie in with your brand and are important to most people. Is there a holiday coming up? Show support by posting on your social media.

Another thing you want to remember about posting on social media is that your posts should always be kind of fun. No one wants to see business logos popping up on their timeline with some stale text stuffed beneath it.

What to include in posts:

1. Media. This is a must. Posts with media are more likely to be viewed and clicked on.
2. Hashtags. This is optional I guess. I would definitely add hashtags to app posts though.
3. Catchy text. Yeah, if you aren't saying something cool folks wont have a mind to listen.

Stay on Top of Trending Topics

This includes the daily hashtags and whatnot. Obviously you don't want to post foul offensive crap so learn to filter whats fun from whats foolish. Believe me, the difference is perfect.
Another cool way you can stay up on whats trending is sharing the trend. For example, if its national chocolate cake day or whatever you can post a picture of chocolate cake. This shows that you're involved with the world community. It makes you more of a human than someone merely looking for fame and fortune which people apparently hate.

Engage with Followers/Subscribers

This is as easy and saying hello to new subscribers. You can even drop by their page and comment on a status or share a cool post that they've made. If you have a ton of subscribers, you wont be able to reach out to everyone but engaging with your subscribers shows and proves that they are not mere numbers. Other ways to engage with your followers:

Mention them in a post.
Take a challenge they're hosting.
Surprise them with a personal message.

Constantly Update Your Site

Its kind of tough to stay up to date with your site if you work, study and/or maintain all of your social media profiles but keeping your website up to date is kind of a big deal. Even if you post a cool video with some text. This is sort of one of those something is better than nothing kinds of deals. If you are not good at writing or cant find the time hire a blogger and give them a list of things to write and time the posts so that there is always new content on your website.
