Gaining Web Design Facebook Leads?

Always looking to learn from other warriors. Anyone in the web design space consistently getting great (high-quality) leads through Facebook (or other paid) ads?

My stream of clients is typically via word of mouth, but thats dependent on others, and not scalable. Some have referenced ways to generate leads like a spigot of water you can turn on or off. I've tried Facebook ads but they typically tend to be clients that have a $500 budget. I have not tried LinkedIn ads (yet)..

I'm familiar with concepts to drive traffic (SEO, blogging, etc.) and local networking, but curious to see what others are doing to "get traffic to come to them".

    Greetings Marada,
ah yes getting leads the holy grail of internet marketing. Well I use many sources to get leads. Starting with Facebook if you customize your campaign and target specifically your avatar (ideal client), you can get a lot of leads. You can target everything such as a prospect's region (USA, Canada, etc.), their yearly income (>60K, etc.), their interests, and so on. Of course the more specific you are the smaller your reach will be. I always try to keep it no less than around 100K targeted audience.
Secondly, I use solo ads as well. One of the most successful vendors I have used is UDIMI. If you research the stats of the contractors in UDIMI, you can find very solid traffic suppliers. Also, it's relatively inexpensive.
Thirdly I also produce a lot of YouTube videos which has brought in a lot of leads too.
Lastly, blogging and staying active in forums (like the Warrior Forum and others) has brought me a fair amount of prospects and leads. So these are some of the techniques that I have used and combined have served me well.
    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the insight! I'll check out UDIMI, so thanks for that tip, as well as staying active on forums and also invest time into Youtube as well.

As far as FB targeting, I'm very familiar with the capabilities and power of it, but I haven't figured out a combination of criteria to help people respond better? Meaning, how do I attempt to target people that aren't looking for the $500 website. All I can think of, now that you mention it, is adding in that income filter.
