How do I set up Pinterest, Flickr, & Instagram, for multi-location business

Hi,

Thanks for checking out my post. I want to know how to set up these social media for a business with multi locations.

Some locations are in the same city, and others are the only one in their city.

My questions specifically are:

1) Can I set up multi locations in just one account, or do they require different accounts?

2) If I need to set up a separate account can I combine them together inside the dashboard?

3) For separate accounts do I need a different email and/or a different name?

what do you mean by multi location.
Are you going to share the account access over various locations then you can add them over some tools like hootsuite, Sproutsocial and then you can provide access of it.

Or if you want to do something else can you elaborate a bit more about it.

    • hi Michael thanks for responding.

      To elaborate further:

Multi location means they have a brick and mortar store in more than one location.

ALSO - I am NOT looking for recommendations about what social platform to use - neither what software to use to manage postings to the accounts.

ONLY need to know if I can set up a multi location business under one single business account - for Pinterest, Flickr, & Instagram - with a 'channel' within the same account for each separate location.

OR if instead, a separate account needs to be set up for each location.

      Sincerely,
      RMD

  • Any Social Marketers have some INPUT on this multi-location account set-up issue?

If you have multiple business names I would set up separate accounts for each. If it is multiple locations under one name (like a chain) then I would set up one account on each. There is no way to connect accounts on Pinterest or Instagram, and I am not familiar with Flickr.

do you have multiple websites? You can put your website in your Pinterest and Instagram account profiles.

  • Hi mdallen, thanks for your great suggestions!

There is only one business name with three locations. Two locations in same city.

I will be posting multiple pieces of content each week mostly graphics on these accounts.
It seems that if I have a separate account for each it will be better for NAP citations.

Just like Facebook suggested to create a separate page for each location.

But ...FB is set up to do it that way. It seems these other platforms might not be.
    BUT what about pinterest boards?

Also if I create an account for each location I can use each stores land line phone to verify the business account.

What's your opinion on that? Do you have anything to add or a different idea to consider?

Pinterest verifies your website instead of your phone. (You can have two accounts under one phone on Youtube if you end up branching out that way.) I don't recall having to verify anything for Instagram. You can create boards for each location or you can do one for all sites since it is a chain. If it was me I would make one account under the business name and then make boards for the different areas of my store. Like if it was a hardware store: a board for hammers, a board for saws etc...
