Is Facebook worthwhile?

Never used FB before. So I might come across a bit clueless. I am not sure how people use it to drive traffic to their blog/site. You create a FB page for your site, then what? You update the FB page with posts when you update the blog with new content (not exactly the same content). How do people find the FB page? Considering there's hundreds of millions of people using FB in some or other every day you would think traffic would be easy to come by. But I am assuming, it isn't.

Even if people like the FB page on a regular basis, how much of this traffic will relay to the blog, which is what I am after? The blog is where I publish the content and that is what I want people to be reading.

Is FB likely to be too much work for little return? How much can it boost a website's traffic?

  • I agree that getting traffic to your business isn't easy even if the facebook userbase is in millions. Various factors need to be considered while doing serious facebook optimization e.g. facebook and instagram ads (which are ABSOLUTELY essential for brand awareness n lead generation).

Engaging...reaching out to customers through facebook is what makes your brand valuable in customer's eyes.

Publishing new articles on website is effective but then you are restricting yourself to search engines only.

Making use of Facebook Instant Articles is the next step to reach potential customers on facebook. These articles as the name suggests, load instantly even on slow internet connections.
Similar feature is available for websites called Google Accelerated Pages project (AMP Project) which loads select pages/blogs on sites instantly.

All these features are interconnected in way which makes sense to implement both facebook and search engine marketing in your #DigitalMarketing campaign/strategy.

If u want to pull traffic to your web through Fb, u have to:
    1. Have a huge likes on your Fb page
2.Your post must relate to your web (put the link your website under the post)

U also do this: Run ads on Fb to drive traffic to your web. It faster but expensive
