Why did I suddenly get a huge boost in page likes?

Hi!

Yesterday I suddenly got a huge spike in Likes for my facebook page.
I´ve been on about 1-2 likes per day (total of 180 as of two days ago) Yesterday I suddenly got 36 in one day. I ran some promotions the day before, but according to my insight ALL 36 likes yesterday was organic and zero from promotions. What´s going on and why? Seems like it might continue today..allready have two likes 8 in the morning.

    Hi. No...they didnt. They´re doing allright, but I cant see any spike in engagement or sharing or views on any of my post. Nothing out of the ordinary. It was just that day. The day before was a little bit better than average with 5 likes. Yesterday I was back to 1 like (which seems to be my average per day)

    I had the exact same thing happen on Saturday.

    All the likes came from India, which of course isn't a country I target. So it's rather annoying.

    I wasn't even running any campaigns. Likes just showed up out of the blue.

    I went and looked at the user's pages that liked my page and they appear to like everything. It was just endless scrolling of all the pages that they liked.

      Weird. That didnt happen to me. All likes were legit norwegian likes from my typical target audience (women 40-60s) They didnt like a lot of my posts, just my page.

        What I meant was, when I went to the user's fb account that liked my page and went to about and scrolled down to where it shows their likes. There were tons and tons of fb pages that they liked. I would down and it would load more, it was endless.

        Now that I think about it. I suppose it is possible that someone shared an email with a bunch of people in India. Which in it, I tell users to like and share and provide a link to the page.

        I need to go in and restrict countries I don't want traffic from or just the ones I do.

    Getting more likes is good but 36 in one day, that's odd if you haven't shared anything.

      Well, I do share stuff every day..but I cant see that any of my shared post got any more views or engagement than usual that day. I didnt do anything out of the ordinary

      Usually (at least thats what facebook insight tells me) 1-4 people see my page everyday. But this day 66 people saw my page..

    Interesting.. You have sudden increase in fb likes that too from organic means that your site got boosted ranking or increased your post SERP's. Did you check sessions and posts engagement on that day it self. Because after google update so many blogs ranks and traffic boosted. If So that's only the reason increase in your fb likes.

      Could have been that? I dont know. It was this wednesday (25th)

      No increase in sessions or post engagements. A little bit better than usual perhaps, but nothing significant. Nothing that can defent a 2000% rise in page views and 36 times my normal like engagement per day.

      But I must add.. My WebSITE didnt have unnormaly high traffic. It had high traffic (for my site) but nothing unusual.

        It means the new users/existing customers liked your posts much that's why they wanna keep update with your site so liked your page what about new sessions??

    Facebook says the likes comes from "your page"
    None came from "suggestions" or uncategorized computers or ads.

    What does that mean?

    What is it to you, is it a good thing or may come out bad for your page? Well, I want to boost my likes in my facebook page as well but it seems like I don't know how to do it. I know for a fact that there are already like boosters but needs to be paid monthly or annually. I just wonder if there are still free like boosters in social medias. Any thoughts though?

      I´ve never heard about free booster...

      It came out great for my page. All likes we´re real and relevant. My page must have been getting a LOT of impressions, becuase 30+ likes is 30 times more than i usually get per day.

      You can run ads targeting for likes. I´ve tried that but not a lot of luck with it. Each like cost me about 4$
