How do I grow a student savings facebook page?

Hello,

I'm currently running a student savings page on Facebook. I do have a website and i'm redirecting people from the Facebook page to the website. I really do have struggles with getting engagement. Followers aren't replying to the posts, even when i'm triggering them with 'Tag people' pictures. How can I grow this page and getting more engagement at all?

Tell us a little more about what the purpose of the "student savings page" is. What's your end goal? Your audience is students? Or are you trying to attract parents who might be paying for student's education? Just looking for a few more details.

My goal is to get people to our website. But we would like to have some more brand awareness. Our audience is students: they have in our country not a lot of money so we would give him saving tips on our page.

    • I think what clairelynn23 meant is what the purpose of the website is. Why are you giving savings tips for students? Are you hoping to encourage them to open savings accounts in a bank? To invest their money? Or to get parents to invest in a college fund?

The subject of our site is really general. We are writing about savings on food (cheap meals), parttime jobs with good earnings, studies with potential (high earning future jobs), how to get cheap beer etc. The main goal is to let the student save money, so they can give it out to the good things in life (going out, doing fun things). To monetize this we do Adsense and sometimes an affiliate post to compare laptops or something like that.

Here's an easy way to boost engagement. At the end of every post add something like this...

Do you enjoy tips like these? If so type YES below and we'll post more like it.

    This works like a charm

The good way to get you started is to spend some money and find the ads on facebook

I know a page like yours but it is more on a general saving money tips. It is quite popular page but only in our country because the language use is not english. The engagement is superb; they post daily like tips, meme, quotes, sayings and even stories from the followers that seek advice on how to save money. Very, very effective. It is even fun to engage too, plus you'll get a lot from it. I want to share the page to you but I doubt you'll understand the language, still https://www.facebook.com/pesosenseph/ hope it helps..

Try with some viral or classy title and promote it. Then it works, however if the content you posted is relevant to the users otherwise same happens. you said triggered "tagging the people" if you tagged people that who doesn't need that isn't going to work. focus on targeted people.

Instead, try a post a day in the beginning. Don't overwhelm fans by flooding the news feed right out of the gate. Give fans a chance to get to know, like and trust you -- then start posting more often. Consistency is important, but quality should be your top priority if you hope to grow a high-quality fan base.
