What would happen if you stopped publishing new videos on YouTube?

I have a fast growing Youtube channel (fitness and natural bodybuilding). I already have more than 175 videos (25K subscribers) and I already have covered most of the interesting topics.
So, what will happen if I stop making videos? What are other ideas I can do to keep the channel growing?

Well, to be honest, if you don't upload new videos, you may not be able to retain a portion of the subscriber base which subscribed prior to you stopping uploading new videos.

But that's about it pretty much.

Nothing will happen. You just receive less revenue.

Tech buzz is correct, what you are getting now will decrease if you do not update. I suggest you build another channel, something that is still connected on your previous channel.

  • It is not easy to get 25K subscribers but you did a good hard work, If you covered the interesting topics in fitness, Try to upload different topic Videos and ask the subscriber to update the comment about the video,

Be assured. They will not ban your channel or anything. But you might loose some subscribers. Basically, it might affect your publicity in a negative way.

nothing will happen. Your account will remain as it it is. But you will attract less subscribers and hence less revenue.

Basically everything starts sliding backwards to the point any income from the channel eventually drops so low you'd struggle to afford to buy a can of coca cola with it.

There is also a chance that you'll lose subscribers. In order for your channel to grow, consider doing free giveaways, your audience loves the chance at getting something for free, and they will tell all of their friends about it (especially if the prize is really good). This is not only free promotion, it's free viral promotion.

There is always something new to talk about in the fitness niche. Look at the biggest Youtubers in this niche and see what they are doing. They have hundreds and hundreds of videos.

You can also look at the comments from your videos and see what people want to learn and what problems they have. Reply to their comments with new videos. Try to solve as many problems as possible!

Do product reviews. You can never run out of those.
Maybe also try finding a smoking hot female bodybuilder who wants exposure. That'll keep the dudes coming (literally)

You have done a good job...having 25k subscribers and uploaded number of videos. So at present there will nothing happened to your channel, but in future your popularity & subscribers will decreases if you'll not work on it. If you have used most of the topics of your niche area then you should add other interesting categories to remain connect with your people & to keep your channel growing.

  • Having 25k YouTube subscribers is a great milestone! Congratulations! Now to answer your question, as long as you are getting traffic on your existing videos, then there is no need to publish any new video for 2-3 months. Best is if you have a viral video, then automatically you will have new visitors to your channel and new subscribers.

    Congratulations on reaching 25k subscribers!!

You can try to embed your YouTube videos on your blog and promote them through your social media audience. This will not only increase video views, but can also increase your site's page views.

You must be consistent in posting your videos. Also, are you familiar with Picture Fit and The Health Nerd ? They have a lot of videos that talk about health and fitness, you can get a lot of ideas from them.
