Instagram shoutout to 1M followers has crappy conversion

I just bought an instagram shoutout in an account with 1 million + followers and after 24 hours I just got 3 visitors to my website and no new followers to my instagram account. (Ridiculous). Any thoughts on that?

    Can you share the username of that account? Yeah its very strange that from a 1 million account you are getting nothing. Minimum engagement that you should receive is 10%

    Hey you have to follow others (among other things, but this is the most effective) if you want to gain more followers. Building followers takes a lot of work. also as of now theres no link in your bio so that might be a problem.

    Can you share what the instagram account was? Could it be possible that the 1M followers the account boasts are mostly bots?

    1) Look into the engagement of the account and not just the followers.
    2) If the content of the shoutout has nothing to do with the account, it would have low conversion.

    But even then, 3 visitors from an 1M account is low

    Buying Instagram shoutout is a waste of time honestly and most of the time the users are not even interested in your account and who knows if are they really humans or just bots. There are many other methods to get more targeted instagram followers with automating your instagram following and liking, it's very effective trust me. But the "5000 followers for $5" offers are usually just a scam and you should realize it when you see the price because it is always too good to be true.

    This is why I always tell people not to do bots, it will always backfire in the long run. Lesson learned on this experience I guess? Have a background check on the account first and check engagements. Google for instagram engagement calculator, that can help.

    I would say this,if you use shoutcart.com and pay for any account big or small, it does not work, the only people making money on shoutcart is the owners of each IG account, not the people paying for shout outs, so if you own the account that has millions of followers , your product will do much better, because it's your account, so my thoughts, don't do it anymore.

    Just because someone has 1 million followers doesn't mean all or any of those followers fit your specific niche. In addition, people pay for crappy followers to build up their numbers all the time.

    I wouldn't buy a shoutout unless I knew it was to the right target audience for my product/blog/website/service and I knew they had success getting others traffic.

    Here's a few things you need to really research before purchasing shoutouts.

    -look at their stats on socialblade.com. That will tell you the true stats on the account.

    -look at their engagement rates, but take a really close look. High numbers aren't enough to determine true engagement anymore. Look into their followers and see if they are real accounts

    -There's tons of Facebook testimonial groups for so many things, like solo ads for example. Go on Facebook and see if there are any IG shoutout testimonial groups that you can reference and see who are the good sellers based on real buyer feedback.

    I would outright ask the page owner if they built their following with a software/bot or if they built it up with true proven engagement tactics. I would also ask if they had any demographic and buyer info
