Automation program/software for social media campaign

Social media is a great way to bring traffic and name brand recognition to my websites, but I am really getting bogged down in the daily chore of monitoring the different social media accounts, posting to the accounts, replying to questions, etc.

There must be an easier way to handle social media, so I am asking what programs or what software do you use to automate and simplify the process?

Also, what software/plugin/program do you use to post articles to blogs or wp websites in bulk, rather than having to login to the admin area and post articles individually on each site?

    I have Facebook set to update with my latest blog updates using a Facebook app called RSS graffiti. I have another Facebook app set to post my Facebook updates to Twitter.

    In other words, when I update my site it automatically goes to facebook and twitter. Also (of course) if I do any manual facebook updates, that goes to Twitter as well. I don't have any twitter stuff automatically posted to facebook. I think that would be annoying for my facebook fans.

    Lastly, I use TweetDeck to manage and comment on multiple Facebook, Twitter accounts.



    Also, you might want to look into Wordress MU or Wordpress multi-site user.

    First of all, you can use the free plugin Network Publisher which will automatically publish your blog posts to multiple Social Networks including Twitter, Facebook Profile, Facebook Pages, LinkedIn, MySpace, Yammer, Yahoo, Identi.ca, and more.

    Yes, there are programs that allow you to turn all social media into something more manageable. Radian6, Alterian, Meltwater Buzz, Lithium Social, UberVU, Sysomos. Top of the line being Radian6. All of them can be spendy so it really depends on how imperative it is to your operation.
