advertising on facebook... and $50 fiverr coupon?

Hi guys... I've never advertised on facebook... or used any ppc or the like....

I was faffing around fiverr... and came accross a gig, offering a $50 facebook coupon, for new accounts.... lots of positive feedback.

I have a new video service I'm working on... so, am thinking, cool... $50 advertising voucher for $5... but thought I'd run it by you guys first... as I haven't a clue, when it comes to ads on fb.

So... first off... for a new service like mine... is this of any use?

Has anyone had success with fb ads?

Is there any catch?

    Not sure about the Fiverr thing but I've been doing fb ads for quite some time. Best if you go through a training and understand how it works and all before jumping into it. If you don't well you'll end up wasting more time and money on it. If you ask me though, doing ppc for your service isn't bad. Would be good to direct your traffic to your fb fan page and make it grow and have a custom capture page installed.

    I have used FB advertising and it has been excellent, although the platform can be confusing.

    Spend a little time to get to know it.

    I also prefer the boosted posts for my Groupon activities.

    Facebook advertising is good, just make sure you add proper tags in the campaign field. However I wouldn't recommend Fiverr because most of the gigs over there are scam and reviews are bought by offering freebies to the users.
