Social Media, Advertising and Marketing on Internet

I really feel puzzled some times as we moved to internet marketing like mail sending to bring customers to our products then we went on SEO for bringing traffic to our websites.
Then the marketing Gurus told us that by putting advertisements on popular sites like yahoo.com will help you get more money from internet.
In next step social media added up to the internet marketing mix, social media presence became one of the priorities of the marketing managers and talents were hired to run the brands on it. as people find it more interacting and anticipated it to bring more revenue.

Now we are asked for placing advertisements on social media sites
My question is how logical it is to invest in this?

Which is more better option social media advertising or social media interaction?
#advertising #internet #marketing #media #social

I got your problem, you want to know everything before you want to try or apply, if you keep visiting sales pages and do not pick a mentor than it is quite difficult for you because the focus is not strong.

Let me put in this way, will the College or University gives any one FREE education, we have to pay for it to learn it and this college or University don't even say that try for us for $1 and than we can decide but this college and university are just waiting for our money. They don't even give a hope that we can make money after completing the education or so.. I think same goes here and it is far better than them..

This is a business, they have created the sales page, the product and took them time to build it, so without getting anything from public, how can they give it for FREE, think as a business.. they are happy to train who are willing to pay and learn from them and apply, if it was free 95% of people will take it but do not put into action.. so I hope you got my point..

You need to pick a mentor and stay with him for year a time than only you will understand, if you jump from mentor to mentor than you will be confused all the time..I hope this helps..

Alamest gives some good advice. The sooner you find a mentor you like and can afford, the faster you will be able to build your business.

Right now it sounds like you're buying and trying various products. The "Gurus" you find often treat you like a consumer of their products. If they tell you too much, you won't continue to buy from them.

I'm going to go with Social Media Advertising, especially Facebook Ads. If you're like me, I'm not big on social media interacting with anybody unless its with my friends and family.

However, you got hand it to Zuckerberg. He set up Facebook in such away that people can use it for personal or business reasons. Plus, with Facebook ads, you have the ability to target your audience - by age, location, gender, income, education and -most importantly - interest. I mean, how cool is that?

On top of that, you can control how much advertising money you wish to spend. Daily budget or lifetime budget?

Think of it this way. There are two ways to get traffic:

        1. You go where the traffic is already (easiest)

        2. You let the traffic come to you (SEO...busking...doing a little dance)

Sometimes, it will depend on the business model or platform you're using. If you want fast results and targeted traffic, there's no doubt you can get that from Facebook ads or Google Adwords.

Facebook Ads is much cheaper and easier to learn. Free traffic with SEO has its merits for blog content, article content and web 2.0, but keep in mind that you're going to have to wait to rank.

        Or...

Some people do a combination of both. They create their content on their blog/website. Optimize it for SEO. Keywords and all that. Then they add some of that content into a Facebook Fanpage. Then advertise their fanpage.

In the short term, you bring targeted traffic to your content. In the long term, that content ranks up the search engines.

So you get both targeted traffic and SEO staying power. Since Google sees that people loooooove your content, then they'll help it climb the ranks.

Remember, it depends on your business model. What if you don't like writing blogs or articles -- or anything?

Then you may instead decide to create Fanpages or Niche sites and just advertise them with Facebook ads. Or promote a list. CPA offer.

I would say both you need to advertise but on social media you need to be real and authentic or people will let you have it.

It can sometimes depend on the niche you are working in but advertising will work if you do it right. If you don't have the correct experience for searching your market and ad placement, it just cost you a lot of money.

Social media marketing is a great free (apart from your time) strategy. The are many ways to market your business without spending any money. I research a lot on this topic and other IM trends so I know that there are always going to be differing opinions.

Right now though, I recommend the use of Social Media & Web 2.0 to get traffic to your site.

    • Both strategies work. However, it is better to focus on building a strong online presence. This will help you get more customers, drive traffic to your site, and send your message to the right audience. You will also increase brand awareness and obtain long term SEO results.

Choose the method you won't mind spending a long time perfecting. Both ways will take a while to get right and if you choose the method you think will be quick & easy it won't be and you'll get bored and probably fail.

Social media has really the strong presence over the web. As Facebook and Twitter are the most popular options to promote the business and product. Social media sites really unveils the most affordable way to create effective brand identification. I am really crazy about this one. Social media is really the best way for the business marketing.

It depends on the thing you want to promote. If you want to build a list quickly, Social media advertising works well (atleast in my case). Acc. to me and my experience, the social media users are not of buyer type (or not in that mood), so they would click on your ad (Make sure the title is catchy) and then would most likely optin for anything you are giving away for free (lead magnet).

However, if you want to promote your product's sales page then social media advertising is not for you. You will rarely get any sales. You should better give them a free report via a squeeze page (used for/in the ad) and then follow up to them via an effective auto responder series (ultimately leading them to your sales page).

Also, in case you want to promote your blog, social media interaction is the best option (obviously). Develop a community on social media sites and post useful stuff for your audience there. That way you will definitely benefit.

Wish you luck ( and forget about "Mentors", you don't need them )

I believe this's the question many marketers have faced with.

Marketing methods are always updating and changing. Although there so many choices, not every marketing method fits for you. So test and choose those ones that bring the best results.

As for advertising or focusing on interaction on social media, it depends on your budget and your complete marketing strategy.

So as far as I am able to understand whatever approach one should adopt may differ from product to product, company to company and budget restrictions.
What may hold true for one thing may not be the same in other case.
Thus it needs careful thinking and proper planning. And one should not be gone by the other marketing tactics.
