Is there a place online that just talks social media?? Community somewhere to learn the basics, discuss trends, etc??

    You can probably do some research and find several facebook groups actively talking about social media. I did a quick Google search for you and did not see any big forums that talk just about social media.

    I never came across to forums about social media only, but there are many webmaster forums which have social media as subcategory. Just try a few and I believe you will find the information you are looking for.

    Try searching for meet up groups... start a meet up group here. Social Media is also discussed here (as a form of IM). Also look for groups on Linked In.

    I find the social media section on the BlackHatWorld forum very good they have a section that you can click on the left-hand side just for social media.

    Well there are always communities for everything. Search on bing to get some. Also I recommend using the socail section of warrior forum. There are some great posts there too.
