Rules when tweeting on behalf of your twitter app users?

When people sign in to your twitter app, you can auto tweet to their account.

You can then tweet whatever you want from their account whenever you want. (Just like Facebook).

But I was wondering, are there any limits? Are there rules like you can only tweet things relevant to your app? Can you not tweet links or ads?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

    Self bump.

I looked around and can't find much on the issue...
But I did find this guide by Twitter that basically states the user is reliable if an app starts spamming from their account...

[Oh I can't post links... To find the guide just google exactly "Rules when tweeting on behalf of your twitter app users?" (without the quotes) and click the first thing that comes up.]

You have to grant access to third-parties before they can post to your account or perform other actions on behalf of your account, like following.

Please see our help page on Connecting to Third-Party Applications for information on how applications connect with Twitter accounts.

Ultimately, you are responsible for the actions of your account, which means you shouldn't give control of your account to a third-party unless you've thoroughly investigated the application. If your account automation is violating the Twitter Rules (by retweeting spam updates, repeatedly posting duplicate links, etc.), your account will be suspended.

So I think it's safe to assume that you can tweet whatever you want on behalf of the app users, but just don't repeatedly post the same links or retweets etc.

So in a way you're talking about abusing your users accounts? How will that benefit you in any way? When people realise what you're doing, they'll just disable your apps access on their accounts.
