Offers made on facebook page - But how much?

Hello all!

For a few years, I've run a an internet shock site, which did (in the past) do very well with CPC/CPA. In association with the site, I setup a facebook fan page and I'm now getting quite a lot of people asking to buy the page from me.

The page has been "dead" from my point of view for over a year, yet it has 300,000 fans and new fans added frequently.

The fans are all organic and from all over the world.

Does anyone have an idea or method for working out what the page is worth? Some offers seem nice but I don't want to accept them if I'm going to be doing myself out of double, triple or more...

TIA

Are you monetizing the page with CPA offers etc.. at the moment???

Why don't you start monetizing and see what you can create from it then you will get an idea of what you feel it is worth.

And why do you consider it dead?? no action??

Why don't you start posting some stronger viral content and boost it back up.

If you want to PM me I can give you some ideas and help you to get it buzzing again if you need. Or if you need monetizing ideas.

Literally doing nothing at all with the page.
About 18 months ago I stopped having post access - which I looked into and is a common "bug", FB never replied to support, so I never really gave it much thought.

Since the offers have been coming in I've read quite a few posts about people monetizing pages. How exactly would this work without looking spammy? Posting affiliate CPC links and what not?

The fancount means nothing or at best very little. What good is 300,000 fans that dont interact and basically ignore you? To get a meaningful value of the fanpage you need to determine how many fans will interact with your wall posts.

If you don't have post access, can you give a new owner
admin access? Otherwise, it's not very useful to a new
potential owner! They won't really be the owner.

If you can't post then it is a liability. Not even worth 0.

Two, is it even allowed to sell FB pages? I don't think so, though I could be wrong.

Tracking the number of clicks you get after making an update today could be a way to have an idea of the value of the page. You could take the number of clicks you get and associate it to the price of a solo ad that produces the same number of clicks.

Please note that I have never purchased nor sold a fan page.
