How to like and share using free giveaways on FB?

7 replies
I like to give some free stuff away from my webstore to my FB- fans to get some more social activity to my website. I'm planning on making a photo of the product with a message like: "share this photo and get a free ..."

I would think this is getting shared rapidly on FB, cause it's free, however if people share/like the photo they haven't yet liked my fanpage yet.

How do I set up this kind of FB promotion so that the photo gets shared and people like my fanpage @ the same time?

    Well not sure on what kind of products you have..
    Try to give a ebook away or access to your weekly newsletter.. but before giving away anything try collect email for future promotions and giveaways -- So yea give something cool and simple that you won't have to invest a lot of money on..

    You cant trigger a share and a like at the same time. But there are other things you can do if you know how to code. What is your level of programming ability?

    I'm not sure it can be done what you're describing (even if you're great at programming FB may not allow you to do this), but I think I know two ways that may be able to help you.

    Check out these two FREE offers. I have some experience using both of them with quite great success, so if you have any questions feel free to contact me. I'll be glad to help.

    You can ask them to like your page first and add html static iframe tab to your FB page where you will have your content locked for fans only.

    I would set up a 'Like' Promotion with a graphic and some text. That way when someone 'Likes' the Promotion you will get their 'Like' and the graphic/text will also be shared out to all of their FB friends.

    It does involve some programming - You need to know how to use the edge.create function in FB's open graph as in:

    FB.Event.subscribe('edge.create', function (response) {
    //Do Something here;
    });

    However - There are a few services out on the market that would be able to do exactly what you need. Let me know (via PM) if you would like more info.

    Good luck!

    You could always brand your image so the person sharing passes along your link (to your blog page where you are giving something away). That way you capture viewers who have not yet seen your Facebook page.

    I think using Group is better than we use fanpage. Because people don't want to be hard to do filling optin just by just looking the newsfeed of our fanpage. But if someone come into group, of course, he is looking for information.
