Does Google regulate how many + votes a site can get?

I do not monitor the Google+ vote count of any one site in particular but I have noticed after voting for a few websites that the vote was removed by Google. So I performed an experiment and asked 10 people to vote for several sites, in very highly lucrative keyword areas and we noticed that those votes were removed within a few days as well. This led me to believe that Google manually regulates which sites can gain or loose votes in some cases. This also makes me think that the votes themselves must have some influence on the rankings for the affected sites (Google says that they DO NOT count for ranking) or why would they care and remove votes manually.

Has anyone here had confirmed (live authentic account) Plus+ votes taken from them?

This also would mean that the system can obviously be gamed by any group that wants to vote up websites. Hmmm, not that anyone here would do that.

I have not seen that google removes + votes, however I do know that it influences the rankings on various keywords. Im sure you have seen if you look your company up on google you will see your recent google + post.

Anyway keep posting, you do get backlinks from posting on google+ to your website as well.

One thing I can say could be an issue is that if you use bots or some automated software, google may do something about it.

I'm pretty sure the removals are done to specifically counter false votes, which is expected but I am talking about real actual votes from real actual people are removed on sites that rely on SEO instead of Adwords, and where the keywords are extremely difficult and expensive. This lends some cred to the Federal case against Google for manipulation. If in fact they are doing things like this.

I highly doubt google is manipulating search results. Perhaps the indexing hasnt been completed yet. I know it takes a few weeks to reindex depending on the site. Can you be more elaborate in your explanation of what is taking place exactly?

I asked 10 G+ users to apply 10 real votes to several websites. On some websites the votes were removed by Google.

*I am waiting to see what comes out of this court case.

This is happened when the votes or likes are fake and from fake users. If the +1 are coming form real users and do organically promotion then Google won't remove the counts for +1. As we run the organic campaign and we did not see this type of problems in our Google plus campaigns. Google don't count the automated and fake votes.

Please read the original post, as these were real votes from real accounts.
