    If you try to spam in attracting followers at Twitter, maybe you will get low conversion rate in any sales. Because of the spamming.

      Even for news website , your twitter policy must have an objective.

      Is it about spreading brand awarness?
      Is it about driving traffic to the site?
      How is the News Site different from other News Site?
      Does it target specific Niches?

      If you have answers to these questions use sites like HashTags.org: Listen and engage in Twitter conversations of your Niche and gain valuable social media insights

      It may be even a great idea to divide your Niche and have different Twitter accounts.

      Quality post, I like this. I've always felt like using programs for twitter doesnt make any sense. People should follow you because you have interesting content, not because you're a good spammer.

    You're right, building a social media presence online takes time. I also agree with you about TweetAdder. However, I DO use Tweet Adder, but not every 5 minutes like so many people use it. I use it to display important tweets about blog tips every hour.

    It gets so hectic sometimes that you about have to use something like this to generate traffic. You can't be staying on social media sites all the time! Even though it's important, but I DO use it in a small sense.
