Pinterest Affiliate Links?

How's everybody doing today?

I've recently been learning about Pinterest and ways it can promote traffic to your site.

From what I've read, you can no longer have your image click to an amazon affiliate link, or cpa offer.

Are most other affiliate programs still capable/successful of being linked to from Pinterest. (Examples: Home Depot, Martha Stewart, Women's Fashion sites).

Or would it just be a better idea for the long term to create my own blog with affiliate links/ads and just link to the blog?

Would love to hear some feedback from anyone with Pinterest experience.

Thanks,
Darrett

That's the approach my wife and I are taking now... you already stated the reason plus we discovered it actually converts better - possibly because of the extra content on the blog pre-sell more to the visitors.

Thank you for your quick response Mike.

I'm with you, I think that is the best approach to take with Pinterest.

There's also also Reachli that can help you achieve the same thing you're looking for. They seem to be working with the brands directly themselves and are a third party service for this. HTH

Cloak your links. Invest in another domain and hosting and put up Yourls or something like that.
