Facebook Ads... How to be approved?

I tried my first fb add a week ago, got rejected.

It was in the health niche and linked directly to a CB product page... thought it got through... but it didn't.

So... after doing a bit of reading online, I found out that fb don't take to kindly to linking directly to affiliate pages.

So... take 2.

I created an ad in the health niche.

Links to a free report, no deceiving copy in the ad... just get your free report.

All the links work.

This ad also got rejected!

The suggested bid was $0.62 - $1.59... so I bid $0.69

Is this why it got rejected?

Are fb ad's usually this difficult to get approved?

Well for 1, I don't think you can do this.

And surely this depends on the offer in question, can you clarify a little...

I hope that was clear and helpful. If not let me know.

You may be able to slip the link through:

But that really doesnt matter lets look at it and do some math. Im always surprised by how many people dont really think things through.

Facebook ads that link off of a Facebook to a sales page have an average bounce rate of around 80% and a conversion rate of somewhere around 0.25 percent. Thats 1/4 of 1 percent. So you would need around 400 clicks to get a sale. If your paying an average of .50 per click your going to spend $200 to get 1 sale. So unless your affiliate product gives you a commission of over $200 you loose money.

The thing people dont understand is that Facebook is not Google. With Google ads are shown to people when they are looking for your product (ie they search for it), with Facebook there shown to people when there trying to socialize with there friends. There not in a buyers state of mind, they didnt ask for your product and they never intended to hear about it.

WOW! What are you advertising? I get average $0.08 clicks, optins are around 48% and my OTO pays for my ads.

Your numbers might be right for some niches but they certainly don't reflect anything like I have seen.

Test and see, or not, I'll keep my ads running, thank you very much.

It is very hard to get FB ads approved and what's worse is that they give you some general reasons as to why they were not approved. For example: you ad does not adhere to out terms and condition.

So now you are wondering if it is your ad, your landing page or what not because they never gave anything specific.

Truth be told, I seen some ads run day in and day out on my profile which are blatantly against their TOS. But as soon as I try something similar I get disapproved.

        But what works is this:

        1. Make sure there are no pop ups on the landing page whatsoever.

2.Privacy policy must be visible and state clearly what user information you record such as ip address, name email etc

        3. if you are promoting health niches, don't make any bold promises in your ad.

        4. It's best to create a facebook page and then link to it. I find that those ads get approved easier since you are keeping the person inside facebook.

        Hopefully that helps.

You are correct. OP simply wants his ads approved first, then he might worry about performance and conversions.

What I've found: for some specific niches, it is nearly impossible to get approved even if you aren't breaking any TOS rules. Tried a gazillion times, with all sorts of tweaks, diff ads, diff landing pages, even diff products and fb accounts. No use.

What pisses you off is you see some other ads in the same niche, that break every TOS rule in the book, yet they are approved and left alone. I think it is some sort of monopoly run by facebook, where they favor particular advertisers over others, but who knows... I might be wrong (not really!).

Coincidentally, I've just posted about it here asking if anyone found a loophole for it: Facebook Monopoly Code - What Exactly is Happening?

        $0.08 clicks!

Is this because of a high CTR?

Whats your initial bid when you set up the ad?

Yeah, FirstSocialApps has it right. Facebook is actually a tough place to market from what I've seen. You really have to do a lot of split testing and tweaking to find the right ad that converts, and in the process you will spend money to do it! Just be really careful.

There are better advertising portals online. You should pursue them first before Facebook. Seek out Bing Ads, solo ads, or advertising on high traffic sites/blogs in your niche first.

For getting affiliate sales I dont think Facebook ppc is a good option.Yes its right that you will get a huge amount of impression and possibly a good number of clicks too but still conversion rate is not worth to spend.People in Facebook are always in fun mood and spend there spare time to get some entertainment. Only certain categories can work well in fb ads like games, music etc.For getting affiliate sales use Google search and content networks as advertising in those places posses possibility to get sales.

Anyways I dont think your bid was a problem.Your bid was good as I even somtimes use less bid than the suggested and I still got my ads approved. There might be some other issues.Best would be contact with the Facebook ad team.
