Can you rank Google + business page ?

I have been looking into this and a Google+ business page doesnt seem to hold much power on the Google rankings. Maybe I am wrong, but I dont seem to see any benefit

It will be very difficult to do this. You need some special skills to rank a Google+ page on Google....

If ranking is so important. I rank using google Adword. I pay for my ranking that way.

The question is, why would you? If your aim is to get traffic to your website, then it would be better to concentrate on ranking your website and use your g+ page to help improve your websites seo and attract more traffic from the g+ social network by utilising circles etc.

google connect and google authorship are two key steps you'll want to setup firstly, theres an article on my website that talks about authorship and soon to be released authorrank.

try to get as much +1s as possible for your g+ page.Google promotes pages with high +1s in search reults.good luck

The short answer....yes.

Be socially active on your g+ page and you will rank. Most importantly (as mentioned above), you're website will rank higher as well.

If this is a local "merged" G+ business page...then the same google places seo rules apply...but now with a social networking "twist".

People tend to get so caught up over optimizing and spamming in social networks...that they completely overlook the true power of social. Its all about "grass roots marketing" and branding with a giant megaphone....interacting with your market, adding value to your brand and adding personality to your brand.

By correctly taking advantage of social networking sites (such as google+), there's an incredibly powerful seo and ranking effect that will happen automatically!

When you're actively social on you social properties....you'll generate a ton of relevant/authority social signals and social interactions. These are the primary things google is looking for in your social seo.

Post to it often, generate a large # of g+ 1's , g+ shares and g+ followers.

If you've properly setup and connected your website with G+ using authorship...these social signals/interactions will provide your website with a HUGE direct SEO boost.

The number 1 thing to remember is that Google and their G+ authorship uniquely focuses on ranking YOU. Adding trust and authority to YOU....not just to a website.

Don't just focus on the seo...utilize social media to generate a REAL stable marketing career.
