Please help me understand this. I'm running an ad for my first time on Facebook. When I look at the full report it shows a CTR of 1.193%. But it also shows 36 clicks and 3017 impressions. How do they come up with 1.193%?
36 / 3017 = .012%. What am I missing here? It is a CPM style ad and that shows .08 cents per click.

I think you missed a "ZERO" in your calculations.

    (36 x 100)/3017 = 0.01193 OR 1.193%

    BTW: Pretty healthy CTR though.

      Hi Dear,

CTR = Click Through Rate. This mean how many people might have seen the add displayed on their page and out of them how many was enticed to click on that ad. This ratio is termed as CTR and normally discussed as a %.

In the above example: He received an average of 1.2 people clicking his ads out of 100 people seeing this ad.

Also a healthy CTR normally means any percentage above 1%

That means, for every 100 impressions you get 1 click. This is excellent.

On day-2 my CTR for the same ad was only .583% which brought my overall CTR to 1.004%. It's still early, but my CTR for today is back up to 1.2%. The cool thing is that out of 40-clicks I got 36-Likes...... Tomorrow I plan to start directing that ad at my site instead of my FB page.

          Mate,

Just a caution. Please be mindful of the fact that FB will charge you more if you send traffic to a page outside FB. Maybe that would be a good experiment for you.

I didn't know that either; Thanks again! If they charge anywhere near what adwords charges, then I would be better off with adwords

Create a more attractive and more directed to your exact customers. This is day 3-of FB ads for me ad it is now looking that my CTR just keeps getting worse every day. At this pace I may need to switch to CPC.
