Facebook Fan Pages Question. Please help me with this one!

Hi. I guess you are experts at Facebook and social media marketing so I have a question for you. I want to create a fan page for a website that is getting some decent traffic but I am using a pen name so my real name is not known.

I can't create another FB account since it is against FB TOS. If I create the fan page, can my current Facebook friends notice that? I don't want to and I don't want to appear as the creator of such fan page.

    No, Facebook won't show anyone that you are the owner of a page.

    Your Facebook friends won't notice that you created the fan page.
    But, if this is really for business, then why use a pen name of your fan page when it's best to use your real FB account.
    The point is that it would be easy for you to build an audience of your fan page and get more likes since you already have existing friends you can invite to. Unlike the bogus one wherein you still have to invite others to be your friends before they can like the page.
    But if you have other ways of getting likes, then do what you want to do with your fan page and your friends will never know you created it.

    The owner of the fanpage won't be displayed on your Facebook fanpage, so feel free to build your Fanpage. Good luck with your business

    yes, agree with the above, your name will not appear on your fan page, I have several pages and my name isn't associated anywhere on any of them

      You can create another account if there is someone else asssociated with the Business that doesn't already have a Personal account.

      Pages allow you to Post as the Page or as your Name so if you forget to switch back to the Page, and make posts , then your name would appear. You can always delete them if that happens.

      The best thing you can do is sit down and learn how the pages work and what privacy settings need changing, etc.. If you post something to friends only, then that's your default the next time you make any updates...if you post something public, then your default changes to public the next time. Apps have some permissions they don't need so if you want to try any apps out without your friends wondering what's you're doing, change the setting on the left from "custom" or "publilc" to "ONLY ME" -

      Turn your Subscribers option ON because those USERS WILL get all your PUBLIC Updates but only 13% - 17% of FANS who LIKE pages will see anything else you post unless they really ARE "fans" and come back to your page again - or you pay for sponsored posts/stories.
