Who's tried Twitter Ads?

Have any of you tried twitter promoted profiles (or posts) yet?

I'm looking around online but not finding a lot of info on the minimum price to advertise (if any), the cost per follower, etc.

I'd love to hear your experiences if you've actually used the platform.

Sponsored Tweets is a well-known ad service for Twitter allows you to set your own price-per-click for ads that you tweet. You can choose the ads you tweet from a list of available ads that are updated regularly. You must have at least 50 followers, 100 tweets, and an account that is at least 60 days old to sign up for this service. And I have tried this one few days ago. Its good as far as I know.

CyborgX I'd be interesting in hearing your results with that service.

But I was referencing the promoted tweets and promoted accounts that is now offered by Twitter directly.

I have done a few promoted tweets, not worth it in my opinion... I have not had much response and my CPC was about 70 cents per click.

Was there a budget requirement or anything?
What were you trying to accomplish with the promoted tweet? What niche (general niche like "health" would be enough info) are you in?

I agree. I purchase some promoted tweets without results.

Twitter ads are used to promote small sized business they also gives facility of Promoted tweets and accounts.
The main use of Promoted Accounts is twitter will study your current followers to look for people with similar interests, and when they find a match, they’ll suggest your account in the user’s “Who to Follow” section. Promoted Account campaigns can also be geo-targeted at the country and city level to reach users in specific locations.

We have used it at Viewbix and haven't found it to be all that worthwhile. Promoting your account especially (as opposed to promoted tweets) I have found to be a complete waste

I have tried promoting both an account (to get followers) and promoting tweets (which is CPC). I didn't stick with it for long. From my short experience it was far too expensive. You can buy tweets from individuals at much much better rates.

I did this Twitter advertising last early December w/ a special $100 credit through American Express. Awful experience. Problematic getting the ads up & running, and then worthless results. Twitter sent out canned customer service emails or redundant emails (even when the problems were explained w/ screen shots). Then I saw That Twitter has current rating for Horrible lack of customer service, they're in the top.
They proved the only care about accounts that spend >5k per month. Stay away, save yourself the hassle. Lame ROI.

I got a free $100 dollar credit. It worked good for the most part. However, I did not get any sales. That was not so good. I cannot afford to use it anymore. I used the credit up fairly fast.

I haven't talked to anyone that has had much success with paying for promoted tweets.

Twitter seems to be still trying to figure out how to make a profit. The best way I can think of for them to do so is to charge people a monthly fee to verify their account. At least $99 a month. They would make a lot of money.
