Social Media Profits Course

There's a new course out here in UK "Social Media Profits" claiming that a Tesco shelf stacker has made £1m (yea really!) from a unique way to get Facebook users emails - presumably to then market to.
Thought I knew a fair bit about getting emails but this does sound interesting - anyone got any ideas what the course may be about? Says something about ... "you then do something very simple to gain access to any group of individuals you wish. The name and email of those people are now captured virtually automatically....."
Any thoughts?
