Facebook likes for the automotive industry

Hi All,

I work for a marketing agency based in the UK and we provide eCommerce websites and marketing for car dealerships.

I'd like opinions on gaining Facebook likes (cost-free). We have one client who we've managed to secure over 900 Facebook likes to the page within 6 months whereas another who hasn't yet reached 50 in the same time period.

We could put this down to location, word of mouth, service etc but I'm sure there is a more reasonable explanation and a better way of implementing our strategies.

    Absolutely cost free actions might take time. You should try and convince your clients to invest a bit, it will be worth it. If they don't want to invest in fb ads, at least run a few promos and competitions; the prizes don't need to be super, just nice and appealing for the fans. Make it relevant and fun. Also, post content can can go viral, don't limit yourself to posting content from the sites and directly relate to business. Post photos of awesome cars and make calls to action on your posts like ( share if you dream about a ferrari as well or like this posts if this Mercedes is your dream car. Hire someone to get you a decent strategy and you will be better of for your money and time invested. Good luck.
