Affiliate Marketing Advice - The TOS
If you are into Affiliate marketing always follow the TOS of any services you use to monetize your blog, content, etc.
Make sure you completely understand the TOS and the Do's and Do Not's. The price you pay for not following TOS could have you permanently banned from the program. It's like the legal system in the sense ignorance is no excuse, but its worse because the appeal process often times leads to nowhere but hours of frustration. Makes sense right? Why would Amazon or Google care about your affiliation? They have millions of affiliates. Do a search for all the people banned from Adsense for life, some of who profess their innocence to no avail.
And yes, some try to find workarounds after being banned, but really? Your willing to use a proxy to sign up, login, and then get cheques under your girlfriends name? Sounds complicated.
I find today, more than ever, companies are extremely sensitive to violations of TOS so make sure you completely read and understand the TOS before using a service. If you don't understand a clause, email support to ask or do a Google search for answers. It's better than receiving an often rude email saying Goodbye one day.
Being banned or blocked from a service is more costly than just following the rules. You don't need to be like James Dean or Pete Rose to make money in affiliate marketing, but you do need to be a warrior.
