Facebook Campaign Reach?

I have a fan page that has been doing really good recently. My reach yesterday was 198,007. I changed an image and increased the max bid (was 0.10 now 0.20) the suggestion bid is between 0.4 and 0.73. Now my reach is 50,215. Why is it lower?

    My guess is that it has something to do with the Facebook algorithm. It is well known that Facebook haven't a clue what their algorithm should do, let alone know what theirs does.

    It's years since I did any of this, and it used to be possible to adjust your bid price - doing this on the first day (once every two hours, max) which would bring down the price. It could have to do with Facebook reckoning that you have a fixed budget (the Lord knows why, but that's Facebook) and 4x the bid price means 4x less views. Crazy thought, but Facebook are pretty dumb.

      I'm very happy with it. I have gotten 400 likes in a little less then a week.
