Social media and backlinks question

Newbie questions that occurred to me today:

Do you get any sort of backlink juice from announcing a a new blog post, article, etc. on Twitter/FB/etc.? Or is it only if many people retweet/share/etc. your announcement?

Also, does it matter if you post a short url (like a goo.gl or bit.ly one) versus a complete long url?

    >> No. you dont get any backlink juice, but it may help you crawl your pages.
    What you get is traffic.

    Also, does it matter if you post a short url (like a goo.gl or bit.ly one) versus a complete long url?
    >> If your aim is to gain Traffic then tiny url's are good.
    For other a complete link can be considered first.
