How the heck did this page get that many likes in less than 2 months?

https://www.facebook.com/Relationshipp.Quotes

Did they buy likes or something? It's insane, they even have a really high number of people liking and commenting.

When you start sharing quotes that mean something to people you will find that it attracts lots of new likers : )

      That's exactly how it is

Find a way to incorporate quotes into your status updates (pictures really help) and watch your page take off

So it's natural for a site to go from zero likers to 877k in less than 2 months if you do the same as everyone else? "This is a nice picture I made in MS Paint and this is the half-witted 'wisdom' I wrote on it. Now please share!" Haha....

This page had a lot of buzz and went viral. Quotes are a great way to make your page increase likes. In all honesty they probably bought likes while there account was increasing naturally.

      I agree with him ..

The page went viral. I would never like that page in a thousand or more years.

The page had a lot of buzz? I've never heard of it before until today. It's nothing special about it, it's EXACTLY like a million other pages with happy pictures.. :p The average age is probably 14 or something though, maybe that's got something to do with it...

Anyone else wonder why the page has almost 7 times as many people talking about it as it does likes?

My question would be...As viral as it is...how are they even monetizing it? I don't see anything towards that...Could it be someone simply enjoying posting all these pics & quotes? lol

    Did you mean 877 or 877 777?

Thanks to the two warriors above who helped with my Facebook education. It is an amazing phenomenon; this viral activity!

If the profile pic is really the page owner, my guess is she's somewhere in the 12-15 age range, so maybe she is just doing it for fun. I wonder if she knows she's sitting on a gold mine.

The used Facebook Ads I would guess. The funny thing is none of the content is even relationship quotes at all!

People love quotes and things that relate to relationship, especially romantic relationship.
    The account owner understand this.

Really amazing you did a wonderful job but i think it takes a lot more time to get such likes but you've done it nicely if it's really 2 months

It looks like they post lots of regular new content that is easily share-able by its members.

    That is probably the trick.
  • Profile picture of the author PerformanceMan
The type of content that they post: an image with ALL browser icons that says "Click "Like" If You Have One Of These...

    LOL...it's working for them

It's so silly that these kind of pages get a lot of likers, without having any real substance or content. Proves that most of the the Facebook users are sheep with half a brain.. I mean, in my Fb news feed I'd had to block some of my friends because the feed is full of "encouraging" pictures with cheesy quotes on them. It's a damn virus, that's what it is.

Oh well, time to make money off of it.

My kids are fans of tons of these pages. I always look at the numbers in amazement but the fact is that you can't make a dime with them.

Shocking picture + quote + status "click like if you agree or comment if you don't" = 1 million 12 year olds.

Don't 12 year olds buy pop tunes, celebrity junk, hair accessories, video games, other toys, etc? I know the parents foot the bills, but a certain percentage of that million kids surely has an allowance, or access to their parents' credit card, right? I don't know the market, but I somehow doubt that someone who does would find it impossible to sell a few items to an audience of 12 year old kids a million strong.

as every other page,at the beginning they bought about 50,000 likes and managed to go viral with this solid start

wow...so many 'like' and commenting to her post.

    exactly it become viral..

Its about things that lot of teen and young people can relate to. Love and relationship related stuff can go viral more likely than other topics.

Most likely they bought some or managed to get likes with FB Advertisements, then (as qoutes, love, cute pictures are the most popular) it went viral. When you made this thread, they had 877k, now they have 1,2M likes.

It is possible to make something like this, I recommend using Facebook Advertisements, there you can get very cheap likers with targeted traffic. Mostly the teens and girls are interested in these.

It is a beautiful thing to hide some advertisements creatively between the qoutes, you will get amazingly high traffic and conversion rates. (CPA e.g.)
