Facebook Welcome Page?

maybe you know the answer - My welcome page won't show up unless someone actually goes to it and clicks it - I was hoping that this would actually be a welcome page for people who aren't all ready fans of the company .

Another words - if you're a fan of our company, you will get access to our wall - if you're not, you will be shown the welcome page only until you "like" our company.

This is how I understood it to work - but can you shed some light on this?

"Goes to it and clicks it or goes to it and likes the page first? Sorry just a little confused here"

Either way the setup depends on the app you are using, I am guessing you want an open welcome page like the one I am using for the Shop Tab in my signature as opposed to a fan gate welcome page that requires a like before seeing the content?

If you could link me to the page I'll see if I can advise on what setting need to be changed.

when someone is not a "fan" i want it to just show http://www.facebook.com/PureCleanSea...a=visitor_mode

and than get them to "like us" but instead, they're just being pushed straight into our wall.

Facebook made that change nearly a year ago when they introduced Timeline.

The only way people can get to your welcome page anymore is to send them to it by giving or advertising the url of that page... or they go to your wall and will have to click on your welcome page app tab.

You could purchase PureCleanSeattle.com from Godaddy and redirect / forward it straight to your welcome page and then advertise or promote that link.

      Cheers,
      Steve

Just a little more clarification.. I am seeing 2 different pages/images..

Before I like the page- http://dev.ourstaging.com/nwgreenclean/index.html
    After I like the page - http://dev.ourstaging.com/nwgreenclean/fan-page.html

Am I right when you say you would only like the second page/image to display all of the time regardless of who views the page. So both fans and non-fans only see that second page/image.?

Connect with me on facebook if it's easier. Even better add me as a page admin if you like and i'll get it sorted for you, it's a pretty quick fix if that's what you are wanting. I'll leave my like up on the page so you can find me.

Yeppers your a little late my friend. Facebook removed the 'default landing page' about a year ago (March 15th to be exact) when they made the mandatory switch to 'timeline'. However, if your running an ad you can make the ad click land on the welcome page.
