Need Twitter Advice, Please

I was hoping to get a bit of advice from the community here. I am very inexperienced with social media and I'm not sure what the best options are for me. I don't even have Twitter or Facebook for personal use.

That said, I am working on a new business project and I want to build a social media presence from square one. I plan to post directly in Google + and Facebook but I was hoping to automate somewhat in Twitter. Here is what I would ideally like to do:

1) When I make new posts on my blog they are automatically fed from RSS and posted to Twitter. It would be best if they were posted twice each day, 12 hours apart.

2) I would like to be able to tweet something else once per day. I was hoping to create a list of my favourite old posts or some quotes and then an automatic post would be made with that content. Once the list has been worked through it would restart from the beginning. I would think this list would be 30-60 items long.

So, is this possible with any sort of software out there? I did a search and there are SO many options and as someone with almost no experience I don't know where to start. I'm going to start testing out things like Tweetdeck or Hootsuite but I thought I would post here to see if more experienced people might know what the best option would be for me.

Thanks a lot!

I should mention that I do plan on putting in some live tweets too. So in the end I would probably be looking at 4-6 tweets per day depending on if I make a new post on the blog.

I use both Hootsuite and Tweetdeck to automate Twitter, Facebook & G+. Work out your tweets/posts and enter them in bulk. You can schedule a weeks worth of tweets/posts in advance. Remember that users in the US are in a different timezone to Europe, so schedule say 5-10 tweets/posts a day if you can get enough interesting content to share. This isn't so important for local services, but if its a general interest site then capturing the worlds attention would need tweets/posts scheduled throughout the day, which is where automation comes into its own.

    I also use this service - https://www.onlywire.com/

Every blog post I make is posted on multiple social networks to create links and interest in whatever I'm promoting. Don't just limit yourself to the 3 main networks, this service supports up to 52 networks, so there are plenty of options to generate even more interest. Good luck.

      Thanks Mr Monetize.

I've installed HootSuite and am taking a look at the free option right now. It seems like it will do the job I am looking for, as you say.

I did some research online and there were quite a few people saying that when they used HootSuite for Facebook it reduced the impact of their posts and they had less interaction. Some say they were unaffected, some say they were strongly hit. So hard to say but because I want a lot of direct interaction I will probably post directly on Facebook.

Twitter is a harder to one to keep on top of though so automating at least some of it will be a huge help.

Your welcome. Another thing I do is do plenty of retweets on various topics within whatever niches im working on. I have Tweetdeck open on another screen and I have feeds bringing in the latest tweets from whatever keywords/hashtags I choose. I select a few hastags within my niches, and occasionally re-tweet some of the latest news if I see something of interest.

This provides your feed with more value, and engages you with other users who will be grateful for the interaction. These users are more likely to retweet your messages in the future and become your followers. Theres loads you can do to be fair, but its a great way to network when you use it right.

      Much appreciated.

This is all very new to me because I am so averse to putting myself out there publicly but I'll learn in time. I can see how much of an impact this can have so I look forward to trying to do it the right way.

If anyone else has any suggestions for my situation I would greatly appreciate it.
