If I wanted to manage the fan page and twitter of a client, do they give me the passwords to their accounts? and how can I say to them that it is safe?

  • Non,

For twitter, yes you would have to have their password. For facebook, they can make you an admin of the fan page. As far as getting them to trust you, I’ll try and answer this as best I can. How do you get someone to trust you? Have you shown them a portfolio of work? Maybe you could provide them references of other people that have worked with you. Do you convey the feeling that you are trust worthy in your communications with the client? Its easy to tell them that there is only one way for you to manage any particular account that doesn’t allow for making user roles and that is for them to give you login credentials. If they don’t trust you, this may be another issue all together.

Maybe you can find some ideas here,
