Hey,

I've spent a pretty good amount of money on Facebook ads...with no success.
My "newness" had gotten the best of me. Can some one recommend a good tool to help with increasing my traffic on FB. ( I hope you'll get what I'm trying to say?...a little frustrated. I've been told to use some kind simple tricks e.g. Hot chick image. Any help would be appreciated

Hopefully a little description on what you are promoting will help to determined what is going wrong.

It is hard to give an advice,if we didn't know what do you promote, what kind of ads did you do etc.

I presume that you are using FB Ads but the ads do not bring much success so far? You ads is to link you to your website? How are the conversion rate and where the ads leads the clicker to?
I think we need more info before we move on from here..

Here are some of the points you can look at, to get the most out of facebook ads.

-> Facebook ads is all about targeting. Target the right audience who really require your product.
-> Create an optimized landing page through static FBML.
    ->Create engaging content.
->Ask frequent questions to identify the participation of your fans and to measure the reach of your facebook page.
->Check the ad performance. Change it frequently to experiment and fix the one which really perform well in terms of conversion on your facebook page, as you have expected.

Try finding users targeted in your niche. Once you find about 10 people, start adding mutual friends.

Keep trying mate, don't give up. They are the best words anyone can tell you for PPC marketing. Many people give up when they are just a few dollars away from success. Just keep optimising that ads that have CTR. Split test, Split test and more split testing

    Here is my personal opinion:

I have use Facebook Marketing with mixed results as well (and am using it now).

Not to discriminate, but I honestly believe that people that are wasting time on Facebook are most-likely not going to have too much extra disposable money. Of course that depends on your niche.

I have has decent success with offering a free product and then converting it to a sale.

I like to think people use the internet for 3 things - Information, To Purchase, or for Entertainment. I think it is safe to say FB falls into the Entertainment section so think of a way to entertain them and get the FB user away from FB and to your site that's when you start selling or making money through ads ect.

Something to think about, hope it helps

I would reach out to Dr. Ben Adkins, Don Wilson, Victoria Gibson, or even the guy who runs "Get 10,000 Fans".

They all have great products and are the kings of FB ads right now. When you're using hot chicks to get clicks for your ads, then you're not doing them right. Keep in mind, you pay for each click... so the point isn't to get the most clicks... it's to get the right clicks that turn into buyers. Making your ad more clickable because there's a hot chick only solved half the equation.

As someone who as been spending thousands a week on FB ads over the past few months for my clients, I can tell you there's a special trick to FB advertising of any kind...

I like to call it siphoning. There are niches that people on Facebook will love and there are those that they will hate.... now to be honest, if you're selling anything, the niche is more than likely one they hate.

People won't want to click your ad, share your links, or like anything you post in these niches. Think about mortgages... no one wants to like a mortgage fan page and it's not going to go viral.. ever!

But, there are lots of niches that FB viewers love, that will go viral, and will contain a whole frickin bunch of mortgage prospects. The key is to build these viral niche pages and siphon those viewers toward your individual sales funnels.

For example, you could create a fan page for all those new mothers out there. This is one of the most viral markets. New mothers have nothing better to do than Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, and oh yea... watch their baby. And boy, do they love to post pictures of their newborns.

What is one thing new families need when a new baby comes? More space... aka a new house.... who can help them there? The mortgage client.

This is just one example of this, but I think you get the idea. It works like crazy. The key is to develop the viral pages and siphon these viewers to your related individual sales funnels.

In the example above, I wouldn't only be sending the new mother's to the mortgage sales funnel. I would deliver great newborn content, newborn promos, and all the normal fan page goodies... but I would also add a link every once in a while to the mortgage sales funnel.

This is extremely effective especially when it comes to FB ads. Why? Because the virality of your ad will determine how often it is showed, the price you pay per click, and it's placement on the sidebar.

SO, the more your ad gets clicked, shared, and liked, the more Facebook will do to help it happen more.

These are the type of ads you want floating around as much as possible. The pages and niches that are more likely to hit this level are in those viral niches. Once you have a few solid viral pages up, you can literally send traffic anywhere you want.

You can also create the individual ads for the 'not so hot' niches, but make sure those are prequalifying the viewer as much as possible. Blatantly tell them what's on the other side of the ad. Examples: "give me your email and you get this freebie" or "for only $97, you can have". You'll be paying more for click so you want to make the viewer count.

Hopefully that helps. There could be various other things you're doing wrong as well like your targeting, your description, headline, etc.
