Facebook Like Box Question. Please Help!

Can I put a Facebook like box (for my Fan page) in my Facebook profile status updates?

    No you cant. The like box in the status updates will always be to like the update itself.

      FirstSocialApps is correct .. Only text/links/pics can be put in your Status Update and a 'Like' on the Status will generate a Like just for the Status.

      However - What if you put a link in your status update to a page that allowed them to 'Like' your site?

      Here is an example of one I did with a service I offer:

      http://MySocialPromo.com/LikePizza

      If you paste that in your Facebook Status update anyone that comes to your page (or seeing it their feed) will have the option of clicking that link - then once at the page 'Liking' your page for a deal.

        What I do in the status updates is add a call to action to like the page with a link. Like if I add a photo as the status then above it I'll say "Like @xxxxxxx for more cool photos" or whatever the content is.

        When you type in the @ and then type in the full name of your fan page after it, it creates a clickable hyperlink. Of course it only takes them to the top of the fan page again where they have to click on the Like button there, though you just created a call to action for them to do that, so if they click the link they likely will click the like button once they see it.

          In reference to the issue with the 'edge' create function - It appeared I was assuming that you would have to be logged into Facebook before you clicked 'Like'.

          I believe I fixed it so if anybody would like give it a try to see how it works or give feedback here is the link to try:

    Offer your Facebook readers something of value first. why would they live your page for no reason just because your asking. let us not be Facebook like beggars. let us provide a great article, software, review or something and they will like you for what you provide.
