trying to tag another facebook page from my own nothing works

I am trying to tag a facebook page from my own fanpage here's what i am putting, Great site check it out @name of site (bit spammy I know but this is just a test.

Everything seem to go fine and the link appears in my status update but when i go to the other page my tag doesn't appear on their page.

I have followed the most recent instructions I can find and set my settings to

Similar Page Suggestions:

Include Diet Detective when recommending similar Pages people might like on a Page timeline. on

Posting Preferences:

Always comment and post on your page as Diet Detective, even when using Facebook as Tom Wood. on
Note: You're currently using Facebook as Diet Detective. To switch to Tom Wood, click Account at the top of any page.

Which I believe is the correct configuration for tagging other pages as my fanpage

    What are trying to accomplish by doing this would be my first question.

    @ tagging a fan page is really just an alternative to using the url link to their page. so instead of having to type

    you just type @thispage

    Nothing happen at the page owners end.

    Depending on ones notifications settings, if you tag a personal profile they may receive a notification saying someone has mentioned them in a comment, but again nothing changes on their page.

    Is that what you're after?

      What I am trying to achieve is a result similar to below. 3 hours ago I tagged healthy bitch daily from my personal page and got the results below but I want to do it from my diet detective page. When I try nothing happens I have seen videos of other people doing it.

    I think I know what you mean, you are wanting posts to show up inside a fan pages "recent post by others section". Is that correct.

    If so, go to the fan page itself using your business page and just leave a post on their page in the same way you would post on your page. It will then show up in that particular list feed. From there the owner can choose to hide it, delete it, move it to their main list of page posts etc.

    Let me know if I missed the mark again lol
